Welcome to my blog! It is meant to be an adventure in home gardening, from my perspective. Leading you through the twists and turns of creating our dream homestead. I’ve always dreamed of having elaborate gardens just outside my doorstep and find myself drawn to needing our own space to create that vision of a bountiful gardens. We bought our house in 2013 after looking for what seemed like an eternity, we stumbled upon Shamrock House, nestled on the 1 acre all be it a bit overgrown.
It was finished enough to move in right away, but not so done that we had no room to make it ours.
The list of quirks and idiosyncrasies about the home is long – but that’s not the point. This blog is a framework for me to enact some consistency and a form of accountability to ensure that I’m making good progress for all the hopes and dreams we have for this property. I’m hoping to inspire creativity, educate on organic gardening practices, and enthrall interest but please forgive me, for example “grammar watchers”, if it’s not perfect. I’m looking forward to insights and input from the online world while I make my way all while trying to do it as “green” as I possibly can.
